“Faith does not merely gaze at Jesus, but sees things as Jesus himself sees them, with his own eyes: it is a participation in his way of seeing.”
Pope Francis, Lumen Fidei, 18

Pastor’s Advisory Council

Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the pastor collaborates with elected and appointed St. Bartholomew parishioners to be advised and supported in his Shepherd’s task of feeding and guiding his flock.

St. Bart's Pastoral Council advises and assists the pastor in achieving the parish goals. This includes: developing and recommending parish policies; representing the needs and views of parishioners; coordinating activities among the parish organizations; and, promoting the mission of the parish. The Pastoral Council does not implement programs which are the responsibility of the parish staff, the school, and the CYO, but instead addresses issues that fall outside their purview.

The Pastoral Council recently oversaw completion of our parish website. We continue to work on enhancing communication and transparency. We staff a Listening Post quarterly where parishioners can propose suggestions and advise on parish related topics for further discussion.  Elections of selected officers are held annually.

The Pastoral Council Bylaws are available for review.

Prayer of trust

O Heart of Love, I put all my trust in you; for I fear all things from my own weakness, but I hope for all things from your goodness. Amen.
