Childcare at St. Barts

Our Child Care Program will have morning and afternoon care. 

Morning care opens up at 7:00 a.m. (1st grade classroom in courtyard) and afternoon starts at 3:15 p.m. on full days and 12:45 p.m. on half days and ends at 6:00 p.m. every day. Child Care is located in the 7th grade classrooms (by the carpool line) and 1st grade classroom (in the courtyard). You do not need to register your children. All the children in the school are automatically registered for aftercare.

In aftercare, homework is a priority. After all the children have completed their homework, children play outside. Snack and juice are provided to all the children, however, children may bring their own snack.

The cost of our Child Care Program is $7.00 a day for morning, $12.00 a day for aftercare except on half days when the cost is $18.00 a day.  There is also a $5.00 “stuck in traffic” fee for those children who are in aftercare from 3:15-3:30 p.m. All children must be picked up before 6:00 p.m. Our program is staffed by teachers who have been working since 7:00 a.m. so we ask that you be respectful of their time and pick up your child promptly. In the event that you are late, you must pay a late of $3.00 per minute per child for every minute after 6:00 p.m. The late fee should be paid in cash to the teachers who are on duty. If it is not paid at that time, it will be added to your aftercare bill.

You will receive monthly bills at the end of each month. Your due date is the following Tuesday.  If it is not paid by the following Tuesday a late fee will be added to your current balance.  Report cards and transcripts will be withheld each quarter if aftercare payments are not up to date.  We do not send each family a report of expenses paid for tax purposes so please keep track of your bills for your records.
